Topic: Celebrating my 100th Blog Post: All About the Love of Caregiving!

CONGRATULATIONS on this 100th BLOG!

What a great way to start off celebrating those who give unselfishly to care for others.

November is Family Caregiving Month, and it ties into my sacred profession, nursing. My nursing journey started in 1983. Little did I know my knowledge and expertise would come in handy in my backyard. Over the years of being a full-time caregiver to my mother, I pulled from the art and science of my profession to give her the best care I knew how. I also pulled from family and friends, home health care, respite care, and hospice care.

I have always felt that caring for parents in their wonder years should be an expectation for all. In the real sense, we did not get to pick parents, but we can decide to care for them in time of need. They cared for us as we grew. I would not have had it any other way, but to return the gift of love. In my opinion, no one could love on my mother more than I could.

Over the course of 100-blogs, I have shared many of my personal experiences as a caregiver. We have discussed:
